Rectangle

Create, edit, and delete rectangle annotations in DraftPDF.

Rectangle annotations draw a boxed outline or filled box on the page for callouts, emphasis, or measurement boundaries.

Create

  1. Select the Rectangle tool from the annotation toolbar.
  2. Click and drag to define the rectangle.
  3. Release to place it.

Edit

Select the annotation to open the right-side properties panel. The General section is shared across annotations and lets you review or change common metadata such as Author, Subject, Page, Rect, Print, Locked, Created, and Modified. The Metadata section shows the full annotation object and lets you copy it.

The Rectangle panel includes Appearance controls for Fill, Stroke, Opacity, Stroke Width, and stroke style. Cloud-style rectangles also expose Cloud Intensity. The Geometry section includes Rect, Origin, Size, Dash, and Subtype.

Delete

  1. Select the annotation on the page.
  2. Click Delete at the bottom of the right-side properties panel.
  3. The annotation is removed from the current document immediately.
