Replace Text

Create, edit, and delete replace-text annotations in DraftPDF.

Replace Text annotations mark text that should be replaced. DraftPDF creates a grouped review markup that combines a caret marker with strikeout coverage over the selected text.

Create

  1. Select the Replace Text tool from the annotation toolbar.
  2. Drag across the text you want to replace.
  3. Type the replacement text in the annotation note field, then click outside to finish.

Edit

Select the replace-text markup to open the right-side properties panel. The General section covers shared metadata and includes Contents for the replacement text.

The visible replace-text result is made from linked annotations under the hood, but in DraftPDF you manage it from the standard properties panel and can inspect the grouped PDF data in Metadata.

Delete

  1. Select the annotation on the page.
  2. Click Delete at the bottom of the right-side properties panel.
  3. The annotation is removed from the current document immediately.
