Text Callout

Create, edit, and delete text callout annotations in DraftPDF.

Text Callout annotations combine a free-text box with a leader line, making it clear which part of the page the note refers to.

Create

  1. Select the Text Callout tool from the annotation toolbar.
  2. Click to place the callout arrow tip.
  3. Click again to place the callout text box.
  4. Type your text, then click outside the annotation to finish.

Edit

Select the callout to open the right-side properties panel. The shared General and Metadata sections cover the common annotation metadata fields.

The Text Callout panel includes the same Content and Font controls as Text Box. Its Appearance section adds Background, Border, Line Weight, Line Ending, and Opacity for the callout border and leader line.

Delete

  1. Select the annotation on the page.
  2. Click Delete at the bottom of the right-side properties panel.
  3. The annotation is removed from the current document immediately.
